Hidden password input
Type and copy a password or secret through a masked password field without showing its characters—a focused local privacy tool for shared-screen workflows.
Enter your password
The overlay shows one * for each character while hiding the browser's password symbols and any briefly revealed character.
Clipboard warning. A copied password is stored as plain text and may be visible to clipboard history, other apps, or browser extensions. For stronger protection, save and fill passwords with a trusted password manager.
Local and private. There are no third-party scripts. The value stays in this browser tab and is used only for the clipboard action.
How to copy a password without showing it
- Type or paste the password into the covered input field.
- Use the character count to confirm that your input was received without revealing the value.
- Select Copy hidden password, then paste it into the destination.
What stays hidden
A custom overlay displays only * characters while covering the browser's native password dots, text cursor, and characters that some browsers briefly reveal. The password remains available to the clipboard action but is never rendered visibly on the page.
Privacy and limitations
The value stays in this browser tab and is not sent to MyTools.help or any third party. This protects against casual on-screen exposure, but it cannot protect a compromised device, malicious browser extension, clipboard history, screen-reading software, or someone who can inspect the browser’s memory.
